Cairns is extremely well suited to travel on foot, or transport by bicycle. Well frequented paths and dedicated walking paths abound. A tour of the Cairns Botanical Gardens is not to be neglected. It boasts 38 hectares of natural Aussie gardens which are maintained to lush standards, and many species found here cannot be seen elsewhere.
